We are a Multinational Company, we started on a shoe-string in 1997. We have grown considerably since then. We have our operations in South America & in the U.S. based in Houston, TX with strong foot-hold in Japan. Engineworld USA was the result of our team-work. . Sales, Import & Export of Used and Rebuilt engines & transmissions has been our core business since last twelve years. We have pioneered the way we test our engines and transmissions. This has been our secret password of growth.
We carry a huge stock of Engines & Transmissions for almost all Japanese (J.D.M) models like ACURA, HONDA, TOYOTA,LEXUS, NISSAN, MAZDA, MITSUBISHI, SUZUKI & SUBARU. Our aim is to carry wide variety of engines & transmissions for all Japanese models under one roof. In an effort to acquire engines we mostly import from Japan. We have been importing from Japan since 1997. We have good relations with Toyota / Lexus & Honda dealers in Japan whom we have been dealing with since 1997.Japanese engines & transmissions are shipped directly from Japan from low mileage vehicles. All used Japanese engines & transmissions are hand-picked by us in Japan. WE IMPORT ONLY LOW MILEAGE ENGINES RANGING FROM 30,000-50,000 MILES or LESS APPROX, this is possible because we have our agents all over Japan who buy complete cars with low mileage engines for us. We compression-test & leak down test each engine at our facility in HOUSTON before shipping to our customers
We also acquire "hard-to-find" engines from the US market, only IF they pass our inspection & meet our quality standards.
Japan is home to ACURA, HONDA, TOYOTA,LEXUS, NISSAN, MAZDA, MITSUBISHI, SUZUKI & SUBARU and Japanese economy greatly relies on financial health of these companies. Therefore Japanese Government applies strict rules that force Japanese consumers to discontinue using their vehicle within 5 years. Therefore vehicles in Japan are used for only 80,000-100,000 kms OR 40,000-60,000 miles approx. It is very expensive to own a car in Japan. Gasoline, Highway tolls, Labor, cost of repairs & insurance cost up to 4 times more than US. One needs parking permit before they purchase a car, average parking in a commercial area is over $500 per month. Japanese vehicles have less miles in comparison to the US. So, a 10 year old car in Japan might have 50,000 miles on the engine compared to 100,000 on US engine. There are no after-market parts, very few body shops. It is not uncommon to spend $150/day to use a car. Most people use their cars on weekends & take shin-kansen (bullet train) or subway to work. Moreover all Japanese cars go through a stringent bi-annual inspection called SHAKEN. The cost of complying with these tests can run as much as 30% of the vehicle value. Cars with minor body damage are considered unsafe. There are few cars over 6 years old in service. Cars are recycled early. Compound these costs with propensity of Japanese consumers to drive only the latest models. The result is vehicles with tremendously low mileage are recycled. Vehicles in Japan suffer quick depreciation as cost of repairs is extremely high
We are centrally located in Houston, Texas. We ship NATIONWIDE to all 50 states in the US & Canada with the help of many common carriers we deal with on frequent basis at competitive freight rates.
Apart from importing engines from Japan we also acquire our inventory from the U.S market, since we have an eye for good engines & transmissions. Our testing capabilities and experties helps us separate good engines from bad. We work very hard and acquire engines and transmissions only after they pass our rigorous testing and inspections. Therefore we never run out of stock. We make sure we have appropriate quantities for each model. We sell our engines with 6 months limited warranty and transmissions with 3 months limited warranty. We have also started offering 3 year / 36000 miles warranty on our engines for an extra charge that also covers for labor. This warranty is through a third party and independent warranty company that we deal with.
All this makes it difficult for other importers to beat our price & quality. This is because we work 24/7. We sell during the day & our agents in Japan are constantly collecting good engines and transmissions for our next container when it is night time in the US, as it is 9:00 AM in Japan when it is 5:00 pm in Houston. |
